Remember That Time?

1) Tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 PM at The King's English in SLC is my last signing in Utah for the year. I love, love, love this bookstore. You should totally come. Sparkly vampire jokes not guaranteed, but highly likely.

2) Remember that time Supernaturally came out and hit the bestseller list? Yeah, me too. That time was awesome. Thanks again for that, by the way.

3) Remember that time I went to Comic-Con? Laini Taylor posted pictures. Love.

Taken from Laini's Blog. I love these two incredibly talented authors SO FREAKING MUCH.
Also we get excellent cell phone reception.

4) Remember that time I told myself I wouldn't go to my ten-year reunion unless I was a published author? And then I got a book deal so I said I wouldn't go unless I was a bestseller? And then I said, ha ha, well, I won't be in town anyway? And then I was?

Yeah. I remember that time, too. And while I can't quite believe it's been that long, I'll admit it'll be fun to see everyone.

Hopefully.

Tell me it will be fun.

LIE TO ME IF YOU HAVE TO.

Congratulations on the bestseller! Also, I'm really jealous that you went to comic con. I just graduated so I haven't made any excuses to skip out on the reunion yet, but I'm sure I will. I hope you have fun at yours!

Ack! High school reunions scare me. I had my 10 year a few years ago, but I didn't go. It just so happened we had to move cross country about a month before the reunion, so I had a good excuse :)

Congratulations on the best seller list! And good luck at your reunion.

I was too wimpy to got to my tenth...and regretted it. My twentieth is next year, and I'm giving it a shot.

Enjoy!

Remember that time I told you I'd go with you thinking you wouldn't be in town?

...yeah, now we're stuck with each other for the evening. :)

It will be fun! You can rub "Kiersten White, New York Times Bestselling Author" in everyone's faces! Wallow in the success. :)

You are a brave woman. I don't know if I could face my high school reunion.

I mean, SUCH FUN, Kiersten.

I went to mine and it was kind of weird, but fun. Fun to see old friends, weird because I felt this compelling obligation to catch up with people I never hung out with in high school.

So, my advice: hang out with friends, ignore everyone else, and when you walk into the room, pose Mary Catherine Gallagher-style and shout, "Kiersten White, New York Times Bestseller! WOO!!"

The event was so much fun! It was totally worth coming home early from vacation. :)

I was in town for my ten year reunion, but I didn't get invited. What exactly does that say about me?

It will be fun!!! Fun! Fun! Fun! ;)
This is totally random but isn't it coincidentally funny that you had a signing on Aug. 2nd @ 6 and a signing on Aug. 6th at @ 2? I find that funny! Opposites and switcharoos are always fun! :) (Yes, I did make up the word switcharoos. . . Don't look at me that way, making up words is fun! Not as fun as your High School reunion will be, but you know, that's hard to compete with. . . )
And this is a random question or questions, but you wrote Paranormalcy in three weeks, correct? So how many drafts did you edit before you sent it out to your agent to send to publishers and how many drafts after it was sold? And how long ago did it take to sale it after sending to publishers, was the response pretty immediate?
How long was the time between the selling of the manuscript to hitting the time it hit shelves, and then you know totally rocked and became a best seller?! :)

Love this post!! SO mad I didn't read it sooner though; I live in SLC and would've loved to meet you! I'm an aspiring author too, so I would love some advice on how to get started and what not. I need to check out that bookstore as well (haven't even heard of it). Congrats on everything! You are an inspiration.

Hey, it WAS fun... aside from the awkward bits. :) So good to see you, and so happy I brought my book for you to sign, and then show it off for a bit. You are wonderful, (and the cell phone joke was fantastic! HA!)
