In Person

So, I know a lot of you won't be able to see me in person this year. Maybe ever. But I am doing this whole series of vlogs for HarperTeen's YouTube channel, which is almost as good! Mostly because you can pause or mute me whenever you want. AMAZING.

Since I am visiting the awesome library patrons of Irving, Texas today, I thought I'd turn my blog over to, uh, myself to entertain you. Enjoy!

(Favorite comment? The person who thought it was so funny that my dogs were screaming in the background. Umm, that would be my children screaming. On another floor of the house, because that's as close as I'll let them get to the stun gun.)

I want to know what happens when your kids find out you've been LYING TO THEM all these years. "YOU WERE DOWNSTAIRS THE WHOLE TIME!" I think you could probably milk a reality show out of it.

Wow. Tazers are scarier than I thought. Wouldn't want to scare you in a dark alley. So, how come Evie hasn't used hers on Reth yet? Will she? =) Can't wait for the last book! You are very gifted!

Your vlogs are awesome and very funny. Are there going to be more or just those three?
I can't wait to read your next book :)

Omg! This is awesome! I feel like I should reread all your blog posts and imagine it in your voice, now that I know what it sounds like. :)

*"My" means I sneak into my sister's room and steals hers while she's at work.

That was the funniest stuff I've seen today. Totally made me laugh. tee hee hee. :) I watched a video of my brother in law being tased for some training he went through. Not a pretty thing. Even when wrapped in a pink package with bling, I'm thinking.

Are you that funny in person? If so, you're gonna rock P-town. Can't wait to see you there!

Is that a Laini's Lady in the background of the first answer session!?

Thanks for taking time to answer our questions! You rock!

Do you pronounce Evie with a short e or long e sound? Because I've heard people use both.

Not gonna lie, that ENTIRE shelf of Supernaturally not in my hot little hands? Made me drool a bit. (But just in the corner of my mouth.)

A part of me is afraid that if I had that stun gun, I would not have had the same common sense as you and would have tased myself for the sake of "literary integrity."
But in all seriousness, these were awesome vlogs. You're hilarious, and I mean that as a compliment. Will there be more? :D

OMG. Every time you turned on the taser I jumped in my seat. Even when I was expecting it. SO SCARY.

So funny!! Loved the videos! And yes; I too, have been pronouncing Evie's name wrong. *sigh...*

I love your hints about making writing time and also just about the effort the goes into writing a novel.

And, just for the record, my dog was scared out of his mind the first time the taser went off!

Kiersten I LOVED watching these videos! Especially the tasey segment! Hearing that little scream after the tasey went off was priceless. I am loving your second book. Miss you guys:)

I'm not a gambling man but I'd be willing to stake my house on a wager involving you NEVER EVER purchasing a mynah bird for Chez K.

Same goes for an echolaic turtle.

PS — don't forget how easily those marshmallows double up as ear plugs...
