Housekeeping

No internet at home yet.  But I did just finish re-reading Paranormalcy and am on to Supernaturally, after which I will start writing that third and final book which doesn't have an official title yet which makes starting a Word document a tricky thing but alas it must be done.  That means a few things.

1)  Email responses will be slow(er).  I respond to every email I get, but sometimes it takes me a while...  (NOTE: If you do not get a response, it's almost always because you wrote me using the form on my website and entered your own email address wrong.  I totally responded, it just got bounced back immediately and made me want to rip my hair out.)
2)  I am officially closed to any and all blog interviews.  I've discovered that interviews sap a ton of creative energy and leave me drained and unable to write.  I figure you'd rather have another book from me than a really clever interview, right?  Right.  This policy is indefinite.  If you've already sent me an interview I agreed to do (and, uh, it hasn't been that long since July, right?  ohmygoshisuckiamsorry) you are exempt and I will get it back to you.  Eventually.  At some point.  Before 2012.
3)  There will be much panicking.  And giddiness.  And then more panicking.  Some occasional shouts of "I AM A FREAKING GENIUS", along with frequent bouts of "Oh my GOSH WHY DID I EVER THINK I COULD WRITE BOOKS I AM THE DUMBEST PERSON EVER THIS WILL NEVER WORK."  You won't see most of this, because thankfully you are not on my panic/elation/talk me off the roof/gloat with me over how awesome I am email list.
4)  The tone of the blog might shift ever so slightly and I may accidentally answer emails in Evie's voice.  It happens.  You try living in someone else's head and not have it seep over into other things.  Good thing Evie is cute and perky.  You wouldn't want an email from some of my other characters...
5)  This item just because I prefer the number five over the number four.  I like seven best of all, but we'll save that for the next list.

Have you ever thought of giving up on your own voice altogether and just letting Evie write the blog posts until you finish the series? That might just be a special kind of awesome thing in an of itself.

Is there a place to sign up for #3's email list? My own roller-coastering ego would love to commiserate.

I'm looking forward to the release of Supernaturally. I suppose you're way too busy to come to Xenia for a book signing... Oh, well.

Congrats on the best seller, book 2, new house, kids in school and that your life is going so well. I hope 2011 is as great, or better, than 2010.

Maybe book 3 should be called Superawesomality? Do you think that should have an e in there? Like Superawesomeality? I think that question takes it out of the running for the title since we want people to be able to spell it. But you should still answer the question when you have a chance.

I don't know why you haven't asked for my help with titles before. I'm clearly so helpful.

I don't know about others, but I see Evie seeping into blog posts all the time. S'okay, though, because if we didn't like her voice, we wouldn't be here in the first place. ;D

Five over four? Huh. I have a thing for even numbers. My favorite's 2, but that doesn't make a very good list.

Happy Tuesday!

You can do it. You can do it. You can do it.

Just keep reading that until the third book is done.

Maybe you could call it Keeping-my-sanity. I love your writing, rock on. And just so you know, crazy brings out the best kind of creativity in people.
