And I know I usually make my contests easy--just leave a comment and you're entered--but, well, it's my last one. So I'm going to make you work for it.
I want you to make something. Anything, as long as you're creating. A poem. A drawing. A photograph. A book trailer. Whatever you want* (as long as it isn't a novel, since I can't read your unpublished novels, I'm very sorry), that shows me you're genuinely excited to read Paranormalcy.
Because you know what? I'm genuinely excited for you to read it!
And since this contest will be more work, I'm going to sweeten the deal. I'll not only send you my last ARC of Paranormalcy, I'll send you ARCs of Ally Condie's Matched, Sophie Jordan's Firelight, Lauren Oliver's Before I Fall, and small prizes yet to be determined but that Evie, my MC, would approve of. I hope you like pink.
(If you are a boy and you win, don't worry, I will not send you pink fingernail polish. Unless you like that sort of thing, in which case, you'll be very happy.)
The rules: Your entry must be in to me by July 24th. I will judge and announce a winner Monday, July 26th. You may email me your entries at the email address listed in my sidebar (please title the email "Contest Entry" or something similar so they are easy to find), or you may post it on your blog/youtube/website/facebook and email me the link. Don't forget to email me the link!
Feel free to go crazy; I can't wait to see what you come up with!
*Also, please refrain from sending me anything that would be inappropriate to post on my blog should I feel the need to show off your talent, which I probably will.
UPDATE: The contest IS open internationally, but if you are outside of the U.S. I will only be able to send you the Paranormalcy ARC to avoid ridiculously expensive postage and customs declarations forms.
FURTHER UPDATE: You may enter TWO things if they are different mediums, for example, a poem and a drawing, or a photograph and a video. But no more than two.

I've created a writing contest. Does that count? AND I'm giving your book away as one of four prizes to four writers who make the most progress in the month or so. It's modeled after the Tour de France-- you know, king of the mountain, and such. I wish I was being as creatively inspired in my revising!! :)

I can assure you that the customs declaration form for several things is no worse than for one, especially if they are all books and all gifts.
I send things overseas all the time. The recipient pays the duty. Don't know about other countries' duty fees, but, in the US, books are duty free always.
