Yup, that's right folks. For those of you who just couldn't wait until September (umm, I would be included in that list), you no longer have to! Para is now coming out on August 31st!
Say it with me: SQUEE.
Apparently the printing was ahead of schedule and one of the major accounts wanted it earlier so they said, hey, why not? And indeed: why not??
What blows my mind is this means that Paranormalcy will now be released almost twelve months exactly from when it sold. For publishing that is lightning fast. I credit my incredible editor, Erica Sussman, and of course all of the wonderful, talented people at Harper Children's that I get to work with.
And, umm, AUGUST!
WHEE!!
Of course, this means you have even less time to preorder. (Please allow me a moment to picture you all grabbing your hair in panic, screaming, "OH NO! I MUST AWAY TO AMAZON RIGHT NOW!" Ah, that was nice. You look really cute panicking in my imagination.)
Now, speaking of panicking, I have a launch party that is suddenly a month sooner than expected to plan. Yay!
(Also, I think it needs to be said one more time: AUGUST!)

Aww. But I hope you realize how much credit YOU deserve too, for working/editing/revising quickly! For enabling them to do their jobs efficiently! For general awesomeness!
