A Christmas Surprise!

In honor of Christmas, I got together with another author, Josh Berk, and formed a band: The Improbable Probable. Using his mad skills on the guitar and my willingness to humiliate myself, we made a song and accompanying video for you:

He even has an Mp3 up if you want to, you know, add it to your iPod. I can't imagine why you wouldn't. Personally I'm just delighted that for once one of my imaginary bands is, in fact, a real band.

Merry Christmas!!

[Yes, that is me singing. Josh came up with the idea, I wrote the lyrics, he wrote the music, I did the vocals, he did the slideshow. Because we are a legitimate band and stuff.]

Wait wait wait, is that you singing?!

Also, Jill Wheeler's comment = FTW! That's the best compliment you can ever get, I think. :)

"A Man They Call Jayne" I loved the Whedon/Jayne reference. And I still miss Firefly. Nicely done! My tree was a little envious (a bunch of tittering snowmen who realized that without Yoda, they'd never be Jedis).

Joss Whedon! Jayne's hat! YAY!

Two things are certain.

Either we're in for a post-apocalyptic future, or we aren't.

And when aliens come scouting for an iconic sample of mankind's musical brilliance, it's either the Beatles or you and Josh, me duck. Or the rear axle of a WWI tank, powering against dense clay at an angle of 15 degrees circa October 1916.

Who was it who said, "the eye of the beholder is useless when it comes to music because music is all about ears — unless you're deaf like Beethoven, in which case it's all about the feel of it so you've got to pity those poor paralysed guys because surely then they can't hear anything"?

Oh. That was me.

Anyhow — massively impressed. Absence of French accent aside, you could be the next Edith Piaf. As could she, if she were still alive. Which she isn't. And you are. So Kiersten 1 Edith Piaf 0, say I.

I officially have the Christmas spirit from watching your video. You should do a duet with yourself and Noah:) Just an Idea. Maybe it could be a new years song*

Huh.

That was great. Thank you!

Whirl, your comments, as usual, are more brilliant than my offerings. I'd vote for The Beatles, though.

And thanks, all : ) So glad our ridiculousness could bring some cheer!
