This morning Dojo turns to me and says, "Next time, when I turn into a butterfly, it will be really cool."
Make of that what you will. I think the most puzzling part is the "next time." Is he implying that he has been a butterfly before? Was this change recent, and I failed to notice the wings and antennae? Or has he spontaneously developed a belief in reincarnation and is referring to his next life?
Man, my three-year-old is deep.

Apparently, he didn't enjoy the first time.
Or maybe he's a symbolic butterfly, in which case he's REALLY deep.
Yes, I suppose he could be referring to a metamorphosis of sorts. Does Dojo already know about puberty?
I just feel bad that the first time wasn't cool enough.
He probably had a really great dream and thought it was real. I love that it never occurs to them at that age that it might NOT be possible to turn into a butterfly.
It's not every day that your 3 year old gets to be a butterfly twice! That's pretty spectacular :)
If those are his dreams I need to learn from him, I dream about Doctors performing their first ever surgery, on me.........
I would much rather be a butterfly!
That's hilarious.
You need to think little three year old thoughts. He probably meant, "the next time I go poop."
Haha :) Gotts love the kids.
Okay, that's cute.
Maybe it was a dream? I'd love to dream about being a butterfly. All I ever dream about is being in conversations with my characters--and I always wake up with a headache. Those guys talk too much.
:D
His first time was probably cool, but not so cool that you'd notice. That happens sometimes.
OMG, so cute!
Hm. I read it that last time he turned into something else and next time, he's choosing to do a butterfly instead cause that would be really cool. Very cool kid there.
