Beautiful Words

Yesterday we were deciding what to do. I suggested we take a walk around the local lagoon. "Yeah," said Hot Stuff, "and watch the sunset. Yesterday on the train the sunset was so beautiful it was almost vomit inducing."

Such a way with words, my Hot Stuff. And yes, I will figure out how to work that into a book someday. Speaking of which, I'm writing a new one. It's a ghost story, and should be ever so much fun.

I love the concept of a 'local lagoon'.

We have those in California, Whirl. San Francisco had several in various parks, LA has them, Monterey has them, San Diego has them. I think because Californians are so big on swimming pools even the parks have to have them--ooh, sorry, disaffected native Californian sneaking out there!

Hot Stuff's comment is quintessential guy speak, Ms. K. I think you could bottle him and make a mint.

Good luck with the new project. Do you ever, um, sleep??

Growing up, as I did, in the West of Ireland I totally understand the need to go to the ocean and watch the sunset. It's a great blessing to live near a western shore.

There's something about the fire of the sun and its reflection in the water that stirs the very depths of the soul.

It's never made me want to puke though.

Hot Stuff is a one off.

HAHAHA!

Snort snort. Better put that in THIS book, or else I will steal it ;)

Alas, it appears I misquoted Hot Stuff, and the subtle difference has been noted. Not "made you want to throw up," but rather, "almost vomit inducing."

Oh, I love my husband.

Also, yes, the lagoon is wonderful. Too bad you can't escape the ever present freeway noise.

And Steph, yes, it's definitely going in this one ; )

WW, I am ALWAYS tired. But that's more due to my kids waking up before the crack of dawn ; )

Can we assume that all such snappy comments found in your books are inspired by Hot Stuff? ;)

The only shore even close to me is probably the "shore" of Utah Lake. Better than the Great Salt Lake, which is covered with dead flies (and live flies). Sick.

But we do get some killer sunsets, nonetheless!
