Turns out she quilts, too.
I know, it isn't fair. It isn't fair that one person should be so talented, nor is it fair that I get to be her friend and you don't. Unless you are. In which case, lucky us ; )
I'm absolutely positive that I didn't deserve such a beautiful gift. I'm also just as positive that I'm glad she made it for me anyway.

I know, why did she go and hog all the talents? I, for one, am planning on stealing a few from her. Oh, wait, will she be reading this? Hi, Nat, you're awesome! :)
Awww . . .
Nice colour scheme.
Bet she can yodel, too.
Kasie--maybe if we gang up on her we could get a few for ourselves?
Freddie--I know, huh?
Whirl--I have no doubt.
Oh it's beautiful. Hubby's Mum is a quilter and I'm going to commission one for next year. She's made one for all the kids and I'm jealous.
Natalie - your talents are amazing. To have such a vein of creativity is a huge blessing. That you use them all is very wise.
Oh and Kiersten - you are not without masses of talent yourself! Masses!
That IS a lovely quilt and a fabulous gift! I've made quilts myself and they are a LOT of work. But they seem universally well received. I only make the kind that are bedspread sized, and goodness that's a big pain to quilt, so I always have them hand tied instead (unless I pay someone to machine quilt them.)
That is a beautiful quilt. Seriously what isn't Natalie good at?
Natalie? Anything?? Anything you aren't good at???
We'v been over this, give me a basketball and things would get hilarious FAST.
Quick! Someone give Natalie a basketball!
I love the design on that quilt! My mom loves to quilt, and she's planning on making one for all of her grandbabies. I for one don't quilt, but it's fun looking at designs and planning color schemes. Natalie, you are amazing!
Beautiful work, Natalie. And what a lovely gift. I have tons of fabric waiting for the day I take up quilting again. It's going to be a long wait.
Seriously perusing your website - very nice - and I have a thought for you. Spam web crawlers are out there looking for e-mail addresses to add to their lists. You have yours on your website in several places. Makes it easier to Spam you. What I do is have a link that says CLICK HERE to e-mail Kiersten and then have the address under that. Just a thought. Not sure if you're seeing any excess of Spam (which stands for shoulder pork and ham, btw).
That's beautiful Natalie. You really are a fast writer if you can finish your novels, draw all your characters, and make such intricate quilts. Oh and take care of your family too!
Re spam: A lot of folks fool spam bots by typing out email addresses as "myaddy at server dot net" because it's not in address format.
Sarah--thanks for the tip. I haven't been getting any spam at that address yet, but I'll probably go ahead and change it. And thanks for looking at my website ; )
WW--also a good tip!
Wow,that is beautiful! She's really talented!
Even without all the free stuff, the more I read your blog, the more I get jealous (in a good way) of your friendship with Natalie. It must be so amazing to have such a great friend who is also such a great writer -- that's something really special to share. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my friends, but I think I would also really enjoy having a writer-friend-kindred-spirit-soulmate-thing. :)
